The Toronto Hakka Heritage Alliance (THHA) is pleased to partner with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCCGT) in the Scarborough Summerfest 2014 to host the Hakka Festival. This Hakka Festival takes place on Saturday August 9, 2014 at the CCCGT.This festival is a celebration of Hakka Heritage and Culture.

The CCCGT and THHA invite all residents of the Greater Toronto Area to come and enjoy a day of fun, food and Hakka Culture. The day will feature:

  • A Hakka Migration Stage Play;

  • Exhibits about the Hakka Culture and Diaspora;

  • Arts and Crafts for kids;

  • Fine Hakka Food;

  • Entertainment;

  • Screening of a Documentary “Finding Samuel Lowe: from Harlem to China” (ticket purchase required for this showing);

  • A singing competition – 2014 The Voice of Summerfest (ticket purchase required for this event).
